"Going to studio classes everyday was my favorite part of high school! Fashion is such a huge industry. Not everyone realizes how many markets there are in this business. In fact, everything I've learned was because of studying fashion at Olathe East. Those same studio classes have helped make an impact on my career!"

"The lessons and skills I took away from my design classes with you have served me all through design college and through starting my own business. In design school I felt I had a leg up on everyone since I had already learned many of the design principals, how to creatively problem solve, presentation and communication skills and many other useful skills that are necessary to know in the design field and really any professional field. I definitely wouldn't be where I'm at if I hadn't had the opportunity to start learning how to channel my creativity into these useful skills at the high school level."

I'm a senior graphic designer/creative lead at an agency in Kansas: Grapevine Designs. There I do front end design for emails, graphic design for print/digital media and I run production for getting ads/design projects to clients on time. I wouldn't be doing this if it wasn't for you and your class.

I graduated from Olathe East in 2010. I took fashion and interior design in high school and fell in love with both. I also knew I loved working with children, so I majored in elementary education and graduated with a bachelor's degree in teaching from K-State. I am now a second grade teacher and I recently opened a rustic home decor space at a local shop in Manhattan, KS. I love being able to do both things that I love on a daily basis. Feel free to follow me on Instagram at serendipity.decor.

I travel the world modeling, I'm currently here in Paris working in showrooms! I have pursued a modeling career, and have found that after the fashion week shows they will have showrooms designed to help market and sell their clothes to companies. I also help with clients and talk to them about the whole sale price, retail price, fashion forecasting, complementary colors, fabrics, swatches, and so much more because of the education I received.
